Anyone want a Promotion???
We don’t want to overlook the battle for the top 3 spots in Division 2 so we will go through it first this week! I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here to proclaim that at least 2 of teams earning promotion this year will have players with the same last name. The top 3 teams put 14.5, 12, and 11.5 point beatdowns on their opponents last week so they are fully locked in on the goal! Only 2.5 points separate 3rd through 6th so these next 2 weeks are critical! That gimme circle is going to be the same size as Jim Ehnert’s hat…. well maybe not even that big.
Reminder: End of season tiebreaker is the total of team points scored in week 16.
1st – Dwyer/Dwyer (140.5 pts)
2nd – Bergquist/Bergquist/Kaelin (140.0 pts)
3rd – Nemec/Nemec (133.5 pts)
3rd – Oleson/Oleson/Reuteman/Hunt (133.5 pts)
*** CUT LINE ****
5th – Brockman/Mohr/Tappa/Roedell (131.0 pts)
5th – Goodman/Stauff/Jones/Kocen (131.0 pts)
Nobody wants a demotion but it’s coming .. Relegation Warning!
The Wanaki Men’s Club Thursday Night 9 Hole League in Menomonee Falls has upgraded to a Level 5 Relegation Warning for the following Division 1 Teams: Holzem/Pulvermacher, O’Connor/Schuette, Metzger/Sanfelippo, McCabe/McCabe/Knecht, Sujecki/Rickertsen, and Wannow/Jacques. The storm as expanded and now also covers the Sams/Klein/Seider team.
Timing: This warning is in effect immediately and will remain until August 22nd.
Impacts: There have been several reports of damage including tree branches and at least one 7 iron. In addition, bickering between teammates, questioning of yardages and epic club throws have occurred in and around this storm.
Precautions: Teams covered by this warning are advised to get to higher ground immediately or volunteer to run the league in 2025 to make their own rules. Ponds and rivers are extremely hazardous to those in the path of this storm and should be avoided at all costs. Avoid contact with trees and large sand filled areas. Players in the immediate vicinity of the listed teams should watch for flying objects, intense cursing and partnership splitting earth movements.
