Bruce Walters, a true Wanaki “Men’s Club Hall-of-Famer” passed away June 7 after battling illness. Bruce was a member of the club in the 1980’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s. Dubbed as “President of the Bass and Birdies Club”, Bruce was often seen casting his fishing pole from the 3rd tee at Wanaki trying to land the big one as he waited to tee off.
After talking with Bruce’s brother Gary, we will dedicate the newly planted Men’s Club oak tree on hole #17 as “The Bruce Walters Tree”.
