**Â C Flight 1 Winner will play C Flight 2 Winner for C Flight Championship **
The club Match Play championship is open to members of all ages and takes place during the season. The cost to participate in the Match Play championship is $10. Depending on the number of entrants and their handicap breakdown this event typically has 4 flights of 16 players each.
- Â Championship (Blue Tees – scratch)
- A Flight (White Tees – scratch)
- B Flight (White or Gold Tees – handicapped)
- C Flight (White or Gold Tees – handicapped)
The tournament director divides the players into flights by handicap. Championship and A flight seeding will be by the sorted player handicap in that flight. B, C and other flights created as necessary based on participation will have seeds generated randomly. The brackets are posted on the Men’s Club BlueGolf page, and on the championship pages of the web site.
Once the brackets are posted, matches are scheduled for play by the players participating in the match. These matches must occur at Wanaki golf course, and can be played during a scheduled outing (using the same score for the match and the outing) provided the outing format is conducive to playing a match.
To make sure that the matches are completed in a timely fashion so the championship can be completed before the end of the season (September 30th), there are deadlines for the completion of matches in each round.
- * Round 1 – June 30th
- * Round 2 – July 31st
- * Round 3 – August 31st.
- * Championship – September 30th
Important Notes:
- * If matches cannot be completed by the deadline the committee will determine the match winner.
- * If one player in a match is not able to complete that match by the deadline, that player shall forfeit the match.
- * If two players schedule a match and on the day of the match one is a no show, the player that did not appear shall forfeit the match.
- * If the match is contested with a handicap, the handicaps used will be the Wanaki WSGA Handicap Index for each player on the date the match is played and for the tees played.
