Hello Boys, Welcome Back!
A quick update on what’s happening at Wanaki.
Early Bird Outing May 5- For those of you playing tomorrow the shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive early to beat the lines at the Pro Shop, or call in today/tonight and pre pay to avoid the lines completely. We will be running a betting hole on #3 where you can turn your $10 bet into a $25 shop credit (plus you will receive a complimentary 2-ball Taylor Made sleeve). After golf we will be offering Cinco de Mayo specials on cocktails and beer. The Turn will also be offering a $5 Build your own taco/nacho bar. Golfers and non-golfers are invited.
Wanaki 4th Anniversary Party May 11- It’s time to celebrate the 4th season of the new ownership at Wanaki as we host our annual bash. All are invited to this Public event from 1:00 to 6:00 to enjoy a complimentary pig roast, live music from The Wingmen, prizes, duck races, and fun!
Memorial Tournament May 19- Join us for another 8:30 shotgun as we remember Bob Fox, Patrick Scheutte, Paul Smith, and Don Kaminski who have passed in the last year. The Club has planted a tree on #12 in remembrance, and has also planted a tree on Hole #13 to honor and remember long time Mens Club Board Member Bob Fox. A complimentary buffet for all current members and the families of fallen members will be offered after golf along with a tree dedication. The day of remembrance and Celebration continues with live music from “Scotch and Soda” from 1:00 to 4:00 on the patio (weather permitting). All are invited, bring your spouse or significant other.
Construction Update- The building addition will be starting soon as we will be adding a 6-bay year-round simulator building that will house a bar and seating area. We will also be adding more covered and enclosed cart storage. We anticipate this project to be completed by late fall. In addition to offering our winter simulator league, we will be hosting tournaments, party rentals, and the best of all…using the facility as a driving range that will feature 10-minute hitting sessions to help you warm up for the big tournament or match. Please excuse our mess and dust while we complete this exciting addition to the Wanaki Clubhouse.
