Greetings to returning members as well as the new members. The first week of league started with no real complications. Play was a little slow on the back nine but we did make it in before darkness was complete. Make sure if you are the first tee time that you take the flag events with you. The audit of the scorecards only had some minor changes. For the most part they looked pretty good. Don’t forget to fill out the back of the card and turn it in as soon as you can. Any adjustments were sent to the teams involved. If you didn’t hear from me then keep doing what you did. Nobody showed an incorrect handicap. Make sure you indicate gold tees if you play them. The flag event winners are as follows and your account will be added to by Jim.

There 17 birdies. 12 from Div 1 and 5 from Div 2. There were three players with birdies that did not get into the skins. One of those players, Billy Niklasch had 3 birdies. If you play the skins make you signup on the correct sheet and place your money in the plastic bag corresponding to your handicap range and division#. Each 9 will have their own skins and holes will not cancel out holes from the other 9. More chance to make some $$$$. Chris Gissal usually doesn’t enter the skins but he did this year and won $30 for his skin. Standings will be posted to the website. Make sure you post your score to WSGA as soon as possible. I also keep a listing for the play at Wanaki only. If the handicap appears to be out of whack due to non-posting then I may adjust it and you can question me on it. Remember the handicaps to be used each week are on the two separate sheets for each Division and the side they will be playing that week. I am trying to make it easier to avoid errors in getting your handicap to be used for your match.
